A sampling of 3DS game sizes, for those of you who plan to go all-digital when Nintendo starts releasing day-one downloadable versions of packaged 3DS games this August (starting with New Super Mario Bros. 2). Some of these would take ages to download from the eShop!
If Resident Evil: Revelations were released on the eShop, you wouldn’t be able to fit it into the 2 GB SD Nintendo includes with every 3DS! And though you would have enough space to put Kid Icarus: Uprising on the stock card, you wouldn’t be able to download much else.
I’m shopping around for bigger SD cards in preparation for the update, and I’ve seen a number of 3DS owners suggest this cheap 32 GB (Class 10) AmazonBasics card. This 32 GB (Class 10) card from Sandisk costs a few dollars more, but it’s highly recommended by those who’ve picked it up.
